Back to the blog then.
Got up to the pool again today and got in 14 laps this time, so that's about two thirds of a kilometer this week. I also beat yesterday's distance - just be sure to set the bar low enough and you're pretty much bound to get over it eh? That said, secretly very pleased with myself.
Met a guy in the Sauna who's suffering from Parkinson's - limited to the shakes in his hands at present. If I understood him correctly, exercise is about the only thing that helps (and swimming is the best).
Cafe was open, but I went home for lunch anyway (Tomate-Mozzarella if you're interested).
Somebody commented that they couldn't believe that any cafe would close for lunch. Can't blame them; it was a feeble enough joke. Actually every business in this village (probably in this country) has to close for one day a week. The businesses get to choose the day, and like the pool cafe,* most of them choose Monday (slowest day) or Thursday (market day).
I also got an email complaining that it's impossible to comment on here. I can well believe it - I can't find out how to reply to comments tonight (I had no problem replying yesterday - there was a bloody great sign under the comment demanding "REPLY").
Onwards! I think the feet are still a bit better than they were at the week-end. Main pain at present is that the big toe of my right foot still feels as if somebody has recently hit it with a hammer. On the bright side, I seem to have walked over 5,000 paces in the last 24 hours, while making no effort to do any walking at all (I think I've mentioned the reason for that somewhere).
Off to find something to eat now - tomatoes stuffed with tuna salad sounds good. The observant reader will have noted that tomatoes also figured at lunch. Yes, I've overstocked on the bloody things (not to throw away any food is something else I've promised myself).
Pip pip!
* No, the pool itself doesn't have to close, wonder why the cafe does then.
